InfoWatch Named a Thought Leader at the Next Generation Security Summit

InfoWatch Group of Companies, a Kaspersky Lab spin-off was nominated in the Next Generation Security Summit Awards program and subsequently won a "Thought Leader" Award during this summit that took place in Barcelona, Spain on December 12th - 14th 2011. InfoWatch group of companies to expand its presence on European market

The German software company cynapspro GmbH has joined InfoWatch group of companies. Under the deal, cynapspro's controlling interest goes under InfoWatch management. The agreement provides transfer of exclusive rights for all cynapspro GmbH products and designs, patents and trademarks to InfoWatch. InfoWatch plans to increase revenue from this direction in the next 2-3 years up to several dozen million euros per year.

Cynapspro works on the German-speaking markets of Western Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and develops enterprise information security software. Cynapspro solutions provide control of endpoint-connected devices such as external media, communication devices, printers, optical drives etc.; application management, data encryption and filtering by file type, as well as data protection on mobile devices and removable media. All solutions work under the single management console; it allows you managing security policies centrally. Cynapspro partner network includes about 50 distributors and resellers. Also more than 650 German and Austrian companies are among its customers. Cynapspro turnover for 2011 amounted to several million euros. According to the management estimates, the company has 10-15% of German-speaking endpoint protection market. More than 30 high-qualified information security specialists work for the company. Predicted profit for 2011 is at least 10% of the turnover. In comparison to 2010, revenue growth for 2011 is at least 50%.

SECURIT Zgate 3.0: leakproof through Skype and HTTPS-encrypted connection

To identify sensitive data in corporate information flow InfoWatch Traffic Monitor uses several analysis technologies, including unique InfoWatch-optimized linguistic analysis technology. Linguistic analysis technology is applied for automatic detection of information category and confidentiality level based on terms and their combinations in the analyzed document. Linguistic analysis is performed based on the previously created content filtering base.

The content filtering base describes the corporate information categories and considers multiple data confidentiality attributes, including business field specifics, corporate information security requirements, etc. After linguistic analysis the information is assigned a category reflecting its subject. The analyzed information can include terms and expressions from several categories, that’s why it can be assigned several categories from the content filtering base.
